Emerging Leaders/Student Affairs Committee
A diverse group of members make up this Committee, and they all share one thing in common: a drive to continually grow Emerging Leader’s industry knowledge and professional network. Throughout the chapter, this Committee manages multiple events and topics that enrich young professionals, also known as Emerging Leaders.
Our Committee holds monthly meetings to discuss upcoming events and topics. We welcome and appreciate your time and energy, and you determine the level of your involvement.
Here are a few examples of past events:
- Thermal Validation Course & Hands-On Autoclave Validation Training at NC State’s BTEC Center.
- Emerging Leaders and Students Session at the ISPE-CaSA 2023 Technology Conference - “Shifting the Decision Set.”
- Networking Symposium for Young Professionals New to Networking.
Upcoming events will include a panel discussion focused on early career development. Attendees will hear tips and insights on how to further their careers from panelists with various educational backgrounds from across the pharmaceutical industry, such as:
- How they distinguished their respective career paths.
- How they upskilled and advanced over the course of their career trajectories.
- Their advice for emerging leaders who want to develop their careers within the pharmaceutical sector.

Emerging Leader Benefits: Attend the ISPE-CaSA Chapter’s Life Sciences Technology Show for Free
In addition to the events this Committee produces, it is also integrated with the ISPE-CaSA Chapter’s Annual Life Sciences Tech Show—providing opportunities specifically geared toward Emerging Leaders. All student members of this Committee can attend the Tech Show at no cost by volunteering one hour of their time at any ISPE CaSA event.
