Lexy Kanhai is a Facilities Engineering Technician at Alphazyme, where she supports the reliability, compliance, and lifecycle management of laboratory and manufacturing equipment. Her responsibilities include administering the Computerized Maintenance Management System, managing the Environmental Monitoring System, coordinating equipment maintenance, and supporting compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.

With a background in biomedical engineering, Lexy combines engineering principles with hands-on operational expertise to improve equipment performance and maintain inspection readiness. She played a key role in implementing the REES Environmental Monitoring System and the organization’s CMMS, strengthening equipment compliance and supporting internal and external audits. She also supported the project manager during the GMP facility conversion, gaining valuable experience in cross-functional project execution within a regulated environment.

Lexy holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Technology and is passionate about applying technology, data, and engineering best practices to strengthen facility operations and advance biotechnology.
